For commercial reasons he did not go into too much detail other than to say they had many sophisticated algorithms. Jason appreciated user concerns and did stress that the service had proved itself over the past years selling items worth millions of dollars.

His experience with eBay and Paypal, together with that of other key players in the company means that they have the skills and technological experience to ensure that, through all stages of buying and selling, both parties can have confidence in the service.

Proxibid has the potential to change for ever, the way used construction plant and equipment is sold. It is difficult to see how long established auction companies will adapt to provide a viable alternative.

Perhaps, they should have taken the opportunity when they first started to introduce online selling alongside traditionally formatted auctions.

It could also be a game changer for the Moffat Group. Daniel Moffat, CEO, told Contractors World that it is a win-win alliance. They can offer advertisers and readers of Resale Weekly and associated services, another channel through which they can maximise their return or investment.

In return, the Moffat Group assets are protected as it increases their digital potential in a rapidly changing market.

Daniel is also aware that the future for printed magazines is uncertain as more and more people change to digital alternatives. This alliance will enable them to further develop their existing online services.
