Plantworx 2015 Review
Hill Engineering Seals Deal At Plantworx
Plantworx was an obvious winner for Hill Engineering who displayed their expertise in hydraulic quick couplers, buckets and other ground engaging products.
At the event Lynch Plant Hire and Hill Engineering struck a deal for 50 new TEFRA Coupler’s worth £120K.
Once delivered the new TEFRA Quick Hitches will be coupled with 50 brand new Caterpillar machines which Lynch also purchased at the Plantworx exhibition in a deal worth £5.8 million.
Merrill Lynch, operations director at Lynch Plant Hire commented:
Our clients include Skanska, Carillion and Balfour Beatty and all are happy with our choice of Hill attachments. The hitches are virtually maintenance free and provide the utmost in safety - since the dual locking quick hitch we have not had one reported incident on any of our sites.
The safety systems in the TEFRA eliminate one of the most dangerous aspects of handling attachments, which is the risk of attachments coming away completely. Hill Engineering solved this by using a positive locking system rather than a gravity locking system, making the crucial safety feature ‘active’ and not ‘passive’ in the way it works.
Completely manufactured in the UK, the TEFRA components are cast, which means its lower in weight and higher in strength. The coupler fits excavators from 3 to 120 tons and is fully compliant with current safety legislation.
