Europe’s first TrafficScapes project

DuraTherm is a specially-designed preformed thermoplastic material (one of the TrafficScapes product variations) that is inlaid into an imprinted asphalt surface and thermally bonded using specialized infrared heaters.

The Duratherm is being applied on multiple pedestrian crossing point starting at the city centre and creating a route all the way down to the water front.

The decorative crossings have been created using Duratherm.

This a special preformed thermoplastic material that is inlaid into an imprinted asphalt surface and terminally bonded using specialised infrared heaters.

Easy to install, the fast installation was done over several nights in Swansea.

With no large equipment required, the heater and other tools are easily transported away leaving the streets free of obstruction to normal traffic. Disruption is kept to a minimum.

Easy to install, the fast installation was done over several nights in Swansea.       The boulevard scheme is a project being funded by the Welsh Government, the Wales European Funding Office and Swansea Council to improve the Swansea city centre experience for residents, businesses and visitors to the city.

The last phase of the boulevard scheme is expected to be completed in March 2015.
