Norfolk Recycler Takes
Sixth Weidemann
Wheeled Loader
MW White, a busy Norfolk based recycling
centre, has recently taken delivery of one of
the very first Weidemann 4270 CX100 tel-
escopic wheeled loaders in the UK, to help
keep pace with some 1400 tonne of dry re-
cyclables being processed every week.
The 4270 is the sixth Weidemann ma-
chine to be purchased by the company and
has replaced a two year old 4070 model.
Owner Paul White decided he needed a
machine with a bit more weight and power
to cope with a steadily increasing workload,
but still compact enough to operate safely in
confined spaces.
“Like all the Weidemann machines we’ve
operated”, said Mr. White, “the new unit is
performing extremely well and I am con-
fident it will be very reliable, helped by the
excellent support provided by Ben Burgess,
our local dealer.” Reliability is a key factor
for this rigorous application because the fa-
cility operates continuously for 61/2 days
every week.
Mr. White continued: “We have run
Weidemann loaders for many years now
and can see no reason to change and each
time we take delivery of a new model we find
it incorporates
many
useful
improvements.”
The 4270 is
now the largest
machine
in
We i d e m a n n ’ s
extensive range
of
articulated
wheeled loaders,
weighing in at
7.2 tonne, and is
powered by a fuel-
efficient Perkins
4-cylinder diesel
engine developing
74.5 kW @ 2200
rpm.
The machine
features a heavy
duty chassis, double steering rams and an
impressive hydraulic oil flow of 150 l/min. In
addition, the 4270 is equipped as standard
with both an air suspension seat and air con-
ditioning for maximum operator comfort.
