Miller UK Ltd Begin to See Green Shoots of Recovery - continued
“An added advantage is that the bucket can be collected from site on a Friday afternoon, repaired and returned to site, as good as new, by the following Monday morning. Compare this to the time required on design and manufacturing lead times when buying a new bucket. With a dedicated facility close to the main factory, their nationwide repair customer base includes all the major players within the aggregate and surface mining industries. Coward added: “Our repair customers are spread all around the UK and I believe our service is unrivalled within the industry. “We will listen to any problems our customer have and always endeavour to come up with a satisfactory solution. “High customer satisfaction levels and the large number of repeat orders we enjoy tells me we’re trusted by our customers and that we’re adding value to their businesses. “Some of our older customers still refer to us as ‘Miller Buckets’ but buckets are not all we make and repair. We are increasingly turning out repair and modification work to dumper bodies for example.” Safety Paramount Today, under the continued guidance of founder, Keith Miller, the company still makes safety of paramount importance and has developed advanced quick-hitch solutions and other safety devices to increase productivity and speed in changing buckets. However, the driving force behind these developments is to minimise the risk of accidents through buckets and other attachments, not being coupled correctly. From humble beginnings as a mobile welding service based in an allotment shed, the business has grown to become an internationally renowned manufacturer of innovative ground breaking products, providing significant cost savings to its worldwide customer base. The achievements of Jacqui Miller (left), Sales and Marketing Director have been recognised with an MBE for services to industry and international trade in the 2013 New Year Honours List.
