Bomag Paves the Way  - continued

Premier Surfacing and the BM500/15

Premier Surfacing and the BM500/15Premier Surfacing Contractors Limited is a family run business that owns and operates a wide fleet of milling, paving and compaction equipment and road going vehicles and they do, from time to time, hire in other equipment.

A large proportion of Premier’s own equipment is manufactured by Bomag including a BM 500/15 compact milling machine that was used recently on a resurfacing contract in Telford for the local authority.

It was the ideal machine for the job according to Premier because of its compact size, excellent operator visibility and performance. “The recent resurfacing job was on a housing estate and it was essential that we kept the traffic flowing during milling and paving. The BM 500/15 is ideal for tight jobs because of its size. It may be small but it’s a good performer and because the operator has all round visibility its safe too,” says Company Director, Shaun Dourish

The compact milling machine is a machine built for a tough environment. With a milling width of 80-500 mm at a depth of 0-210 mm in a machine just 1.3m wide it is ideal for working in tight spaces on city streets.

New milling technology gives more precision and quick-change drums give more versatility. With intuitive controls, a swivel seat, excellent all-round visibility and a vibration-insulated operator’s platform the machine is easy to operate and safe to use for prolonged periods.
