APS Supplies Hinowa Tracked Dumpers to Eagle Plant

A leading independent plant and tool hire company has expanded its equipment rental fleet with new Hinowa tracked dumpers.

Eagle Plant, which has 22 branches across England and Wales, has increased its fleet with three Hinowa HS1100 units with hi-tip dumper buckets. This new mast-based attachment can carry up to 800 kg and the bucket can be elevated up to 1.52 m, to tip directly into a skip or onto a truck bed.

The company purchased the Hinowa dumpers from Access Platform Sales (APS), which is the exclusive UK importer for the Hinowa range of rough terrain tracked mini dumpers and ride-on tracked fork lifts, as well as tracked powered access platforms.

Simon Bailey, Depot Manager of the Chard branch of Eagle Plant in Somerset, said: “We have had Hinowa tracked dumpers in our range for many years. They do the job well, and we have not found anything better to replace them. Our customers like the new higher tipping point of the HS1100, which gives the product more flexibility and even more appeal.”
“The back-up and support from APS is always excellent, which makes dealing with them very easy.”

Eagle Plant was founded in Chard, Somerset in 1975 and has since grown to 22 branches, covering southern England from Cornwall to London and stretching north through eastern Wales to Manchester.

Nigel Cox, Regional Director for Eagle Plant, said: “With 22 depots now covering a huge area, it was vital to Eagle Plant that we had a supplier with the size and scale to deliver nationwide support. Knowing that the Hinowa range is backed by a strong organisation like APS, which can support the product in both service and spares when necessary, really gave us the confidence to buy more.”

Bateman Groundworks Expands Fleet With 20 New Terex Site Dumpers Bateman Groundworks Expands Fleet With 20 New Terex Site Dumpers

As part of a major fleet expansion, Bateman Groundworks has taken delivery of 20 Terex TA6 Power Tip site dumpers. The new 6 tonne payload machines were supplied by local dealer, Contractors Equipment Sales (CES), in Norwich, and incorporate the latest product updates which deliver excellent productivity and low operating costs.

As part of a move to both expand and improve the productivity of its site dumper fleet, Bateman Groundworks is replacing 15 older Terex models. The Great Yarmouth-based company employs 120 people and specialises in groundworks for large national house builders.

“We usually work on about 10 sites at a time and have had a good 2012 including signing some key contacts which will keep us busy through to 2014,” says Bateman’s founder and managing director Richard Bateman.

“Having signed the new contracts, we needed to renew and enlarge the site dumper fleet. So we looked at what was available on the market and it came down to the two biggest players who had very competitive prices and specifications. The choice was made much easier because, over the last six years, we have had excellent service from our existing Terex equipment, which has been very economical and reliable. And we enjoy the good relationship with the local dealer, CES, which has always looked after us very well.”
