The machine is equipped with the exclusive Komatsu EMMS (Equipment Management Monitoring System), which has enhanced diagnostic features that give the operator and technicians greater monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities. EMMS also continuously monitors all critical systems, preventative maintenance, and provides troubleshooting assistance to minimize diagnosis and repair time.first three years or 2.000 hours it covers factory-scheduled maintenance, performed by Komatsu trained technicians with Komatsu Genuine parts.

Komatsu CARE offers up to a maximum of 2 complimentary Komatsu Diesel Particulate Filter (KDPF) exchanges and a KDPF warranty for the first 5 years or 9.000 hours.

The latest KOMTRAX technology sends machine operating information to a secure website utilizing wireless technology.

Data such as operating hours, fuel consumption, location, cautions and maintenance alerts are relayed to the web application for analysis. The KOMTRAX fleet monitoring system increases machine availability, reduces the risk of machine theft, allows for remote diagnosis by the distributor, and provides a wealth of other information to drive business efficiency and productivity.

JLG Introduces SkyGuard Aftermarket Accessory

JLG Industries has announced the availability of SkyGuard, an aftermarket accessory that provides enhanced control panel protection for boom lifts.

When activated by approximately 50 pounds of force, the SkyGuard sensor, which can be initiated from a variety of angles, stops all functions. Its unique reverse functionality – the first feature of its kind in the market – stops all functions and then undoes most functions that were in use at the time of sensor activation for less than a second’s worth of time.

In a situation where extreme force is exerted, the sensor bar breaks away to provide additional space for the operator. A horn and optional blue flashing beacon simultaneously alerts other workers on the job site to sensor activation.

SkyGuard uses no movable parts, eliminating the need for scheduled or additional maintenance. In addition, it can be installed on most combustion-powered JLG boom lifts manufactured from 2004 and after.
