Doosan DX700LCBristol

Wring Group expands demolition fleet

Bristol-based Wring Group, one of the leading demolition companies in the UK, has expanded the company’s equipment fleet with the purchase of the first Doosan DX700LC.

The excavator was supplied by the local Doosan dealer, Kellands (Plant Sales) Ltd of Bridgwater in Somerset and joins the six other Doosan excavators supplied over the last 12 months.

After modification by Kocurek of Ipswich, the new DX700LC excavator will form the base unit for a new super high reach demolition excavator, utilising a refurbished 37 m long arm previously carried by a 65 tonne base unit in the Wring fleet. The new high reach excavator will be the largest of the four high reach excavators in the Wring fleet.

According to Dean Wring, Director of the Wring Group, one of the main reasons for purchasing the unit was the level of service the company has received from Kellands and the high performance of the new DX380LC and DX225LC excavators they have recently purchased.

Dean Wring said: “Our continued investment in specialist equipment means we own one of the UK’s biggest, most advanced demolition fleets with a complement of over 55 excavators and standard and high reach demolition rigs from 0.75 - 90 tonne and up to 37 m reach, enabling us to undertake all manner of demolition and dismantling contracts.”
In addition to the Head Office in Bristol, the Wring Group has regional offices in London and Exeter.

New Holland L223 skid steerIreland

Wiser Recycling builds fleet around New Holland

Four New Holland machines, 2 telehandlers and 2 skid steer loaders, which were supplied by Irish distributor Adare Machinery, are helping to boost productivity on a recycling site for Cork-based waste management company Wiser Recycling Ltd.

In 2010, the company took delivery of their first New Holland LM1345 telehandler, followed by a second telehandler and two New Holland skid steers, which together with a range of attachments are used to handle both raw and baled material at the site.

In early 2011, Wiser further enhanced their New Holland line up, with the L225 skid steer, a 3.6 tonne machine with a rated operating capacity of 1.135 tonnes, with a dump height of more than 2.6 m followed by a New Holland L223 skid steer, which was supplied with additional rear counter weights, featuring a lift capacity of 1,110 kilos, and with a similar envelope as the more powerful L225.

Working alongside the two skid steers are the New Holland telehandlers. These machines carry out similar duties to the skid steers – sorting waste, feeding the baler and handling baled refuse. With its forward reach of 8.65 m and lift capacity of up to 4.5 tonnes, the LM1345 telehandler is the ideal machine for stacking baled material and pushing back stockpiled refuse prior to baling.
