Hewden launches 'Hire Manager' Hewden Hire Manager Online tool enables users to manage entire hire account online 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The nationwide plant and equipment hire specialist has launched Hire Manager, an online tool providing users with instant access to all of their hire data. Offered free to all Hewden customers, Hire Manager displays detailed statistics of a user’s hires on an easy-to-use dashboard. Hire status reports can be instantly accessed, allowing users to keep track of all equipment currently on hire across multiple sites. Commenting on the launch Rachel Anderson, Customer Interface Coordinator at Hewden said: “During the creation of Hire Manager we consulted with a group of industry professionals from the construction, infrastructure, environmental and industrial sectors that we serve. “Input from this customer forum has shaped and developed Hire Manager. This period of user testing allowed us to fine tune a number of key functions, ensuring it meets the demands of all our customers. “We will continue to consult the customer forum to enable ongoing developments, improvements and efficiency.” Dawn Parker of Carillion, one of the companies involved in the customer forum said: “Hewden Hire Manager enables Carillion to easily access all relevant hire information. Hewden continues to take on board the feedback given to develop the system further. It’s a great tool that adds value and efficiencies into our everyday business needs.” Shaun Paddison, Logistics Coordinator at TGC Renewables Ltd added: “Hire Manager gives us the ability to see all hire information quickly and easily. It is especially helpful to see the overall picture for nationwide projects. It simply makes life easier.” In addition to transactional data, statistics and reports, Hire Manager also allows customers to easily access the Hewden product catalogue and specifications, as well as health, safety and environmental information. Malcolm Construction hosted a three day event at their Shewalton Quarry & Waste Management facility in Irvine on the west coast of Scotland allowing visitors to view a demonstration of the new C&D waste recycling plant installed at the site. The site opened to visitors from 3rd to 5th July 2012 and the company had significant interest from the construction materials and recycling industries in the UK and beyond. “Early interest in the demonstration events indicated that as well as existing customers and others from the recycling industry in the UK there would be many international visitors over the three days” says Helen Ryan, Marketing Manager with The Malcolm Group prior to the event.
