A Show of Power
at Hillhead for
ArcGen Hilta
On 19th – 21st June 2012, ArcGen Hilta will
be taking its vast range of market-leading
products to Buxton for an appearance at
Hillhead 2012, the world’s biggest working
quarry show.
The company will be exhibiting a wide selection of products geared for use in the quarrying
industry, comprising site generators, welder generators, power washers and pumps and the new 6 inch centrifugal pump.
This is also the first time that ArcGen Hilta will be appearing at Hillhead since acquiring SMC Light & Power in 2010,
and will also be exhibiting its market-leading range of lighting towers.
Commercial director, Phil Winnington, said, “ArcGen Hilta’s robust products are ideal for the demanding conditions
encountered in the quarrying industry. We also offer bespoke solutions and specially adapted machine specifications for
our quarrying and mining customers, including spark arrestors, chalwyn valves and a variety of safety features.”
The company will demonstrate a wide range of pumps including the new Hilta C150 ‘Pro-Flo’ 6 inch centrifugal
vacuum assisted automatic priming pump, a low pressure/high volume machine, developed to offer increased
performance for customers.
Designed for use in any application for the moving or removal of high volumes of water, the latest ‘Pro-Flo’ boasts
an improved flow and head and solids handling up to 80 mm diameter for use in a variety of quarrying and mining
applications. Users will also benefit from easy transportation, low noise levels and an adjustable front wear plant, as well
as high performance from low fuel usage, offering cost savings.
Also on the stand will be a range of super silent petrol and diesel driven portable
ArcGen Welder Generators. Ranging from 30 amps to 500 amps, with excellent
welding characteristics, and AVR control to provide a voltage regulation of +/-1.5%,
the compact welder generators are available on various trailer types, and are easily
transported for difficult to reach projects. Simultaneous use of welding and auxiliary
output, and the ability to link two machines together via parallel boxes to double
the welding output, increases the
versatility of the equipment whilst
an auto idle facility enables longer
operating hours without the need to
refuel.
The ma c h i ne s a l s o po s s e s s
essential safety features for quarrying and mining projects, including
auto shutdown in the event of low oil pressure, high water temperature
or thermal overload, and earth leakage breaker fitted for increased site
safety.
The company will also be showcasing its range of hot and cold
industrial Power Washers. Compact and robust, the power washers
are fitted on wheeled site chassis’ for easy manoeuvrability to where
machinery is required. Ranging from 1500 psi to 3000 psi, the power
washers are available with petrol and diesel engines, or 240 volt or
110 volt electric motors.
The series also includes a road towable 250 gallon 3000 psi/200
bar bowser unit, available with or without the accompanying pressure
washer and on road tow for easy site transportation.
