Two UK Debuts from Liebherr-Great Britain
Liebherr is exhibiting at Hillhead once again and is also demonstrating at the working face and in the recycling area. The
company is at its usual location – Stand Number Z9 overlooking the North Face of the quarry – where visitors will be
able to see plant and equipment from all the Liebherr ranges involved in mining and quarrying, materials handling and
recycling, concrete production and transportation.
On demonstration and being premiered will be the R 964 C SME Litronic excavator in full quarrying configuration,
together with Liebherr’s biggest wheeled loader – the hydrostatic drive L 5862plus2.
Also having its premier in the UK is the new Mobilmix 2.5 concrete batching plant, which is displayed with two of
Liebherr’s hydraulic truckmixers, the highly successful HTM 804P.
On static display will be an L 5662plus2 loading shovel, a PR 734 LGP fully hydrostatic low ground pressure bulldozer
and, representing Liebherr’s versatile range of industrial rehandlers for the recycling industry, a wheeled long-reach A
924 C with a hydraulically elevating cab.
The New R 950 SME
Liebherr is exhibiting its new
R 950 SME hydraulic excavator
for the first time in the UK.
With an operating weight of
approximately 44 tonnes, it
is positioned between the
standard version of the R 946
and the next-larger model,
the R 956 – both of which
are al so newly developed
models complying with Stage
IIIB / Tier 4i exhaust emission
I t has been developed
s p e c i f i c a l l y t o i n c r e a s e
productivity in tough stone-
quarrying applications; the
‘SME’ acronym stands for
‘Super Mass Excavation’. The
performance than competitive
models. Increased efficiency
allows the 8026 CTS to use
the same engine fami ly as
the 8025 ZTS, with a similar
torque output , but wi th a
lower power rating, providing
a 14% efficiency gain.
New generation skid
JCB will also show one of its
latest new generation skid steer loader models which use a radial lift version of the JCB Powerboom single-sided lift arm,
providing excellent digging capability and reach.
In addition to best in class fuel efficiency, a 46% larger, tilting cab brings multiple benefits. These include: a full height
side door for maximum operator safety, industry leading serviceability and 60% better visibility than competitors.
