The Cat K Series Small Wheel Loaders - Page 3 of 3 >>>

Operators of a vast array of construction equipment from dozers to wheel loaders benefit today from cab, comfort and controls that operaotrs of old could only dream of.

Operators of a vast array of construction equipment from dozers to wheel loaders, today, benefit from cab comfort and controls that operators of old could only dream of.

Efficient loader linkage

The Z-bar linkage system needs no introduction and its concept has been well proven over the years. By further optimising this linkage maximises the breakout power of Z-bar linkage with the parallel-lift and load-handling characteristics of Cat VersaLink or IT (Integrated Toolcarrier) linkage.

The new linkage, available in both standard and high-lift configurations, accepts pin-on tools and a Cat Fusion coupler that is compatible with competitive work tools.

Todays cabs offer levels of comfort and features that operators of old could only dream of. More power to the operator

Gone are the days when operators were exposed to the elements, had a steel seat and controlled machines by pulling levers and pressing pedals. All manufacturers have long recognized maximum performance from the operator demands a safe, quiet and comfortable cab.

Todays cabs offer levels of comfort and features that operators of old could only dream of.

The new wheel loaders add further refinements to the already well-accepted Cat cabs which now feature automatic temperature control, heated rear window with intermittent wiper, and a Soft Touch control panel.

Caterpillar has opted for a curved front windshield for improved visibility and smarter styling. However, such windshields are not so convenient to replace and can be a more expensive option.

The electronic joystick for implement control is seat-mounted, adjustable and incorporates integral controls for auxiliary hydraulics, directional shifting and differential lock.

Cat K-Series Wheel Loader SpecsIn cab sound level reaches a new low

In-cab sound levels are reduced to a typical level of 66 dB(A) down from 74 dB(A) in the H-Series models. That is a massive reduction and one that will certainly be appreciated by operators.

Kick-out functions for boom lift, boom lower and tilt are standard and easily programmable by pushing and holding a button on the Soft Touch panel. An electronic parking brake simplifies operation
