PLANTWORX 2013 PLANTWORX 2013

– the year that was

Time is running out for your 'early bird' discount

The last few years, and, according to statistics, the next few years, have and will be very challenging times. Manufacturers and contractors are having to readjust to the current levels of work while waiting for the promised infrastructure investment by the Government.

In spite of the economic situation, companies have met the challenge with a positive outlook. This is good news for the organisers of Plantworx who were a little unsure of support when the trade show was first announced earlier this year.

Plantworx has defied the odds, and with the overwhelming support from the construction industry, the new show is rapidly taking shape.

Plantworx, although not taking place until May 2013, has already got the construction industry interested and motivated. The key stands have been allocated and now the work is on to get other companies to register.

Simon Frere-Cook MBE, Plantworx exhibition director said, “We at Plantworx are really proud of what we have achieved in 2011 and would like to thank all those people who have been involved in creating this event.
The final site plan is one that will maximise the experience at Plantworx 2013 for both the exhibitor and the visitor - it will be easy to move around the event between the static stands and the demonstration areas with the maxi stands spread throughout. There are plenty of stand choices and space for demonstrations and the Pavilion will provide a good location and layout for the indoor exhibitor. We will be having dedicated zones for site clearance stands, learning, training, education and security.”

Mike Coleman is operations director for the show, with responsibility to ‘build’ the event said, “From an operations point of view, the show site is settling down very well.
There will be some minor tweaks and it is early days. Reacting to sales and exhibitor requirements means being ‘alive’ to small changes as we progress.
" I am confident that we will have a showground to be proud of and will meet the expectations of the industry.”

Don’t miss the ‘early bird discount’

To date 30% of the total overall exhibition space has been sold. The early bird discount of 5% is available until December 2011 and a further 7.5% discount is offered to CEA members. A 25% deposit secures your site.

Plantworx sales manager, Angela Spink said, “I have received extremely positive responses from the exhibitors. They have commented on our flexible approach and willingness to listen to their requirements.
" The number of booking forms I am receiving is increasing steadily each week and I expect this to continue - especially on the run up to the end of the Early Bird discount period!”

The CPA (Construction Plant Hire Association) will also be exhibiting at the show. Haydn Steele, CPA’s health and safety manager says, “Our members are generally very welcoming of the show and think that it’s long overdue. Also that, at last, there will be a show that is providing exactly what they want to see. Some of the members also said that they will definitely be visiting the show and looking to increase their fleet.”
